Corday Raymere Burgess

Corday Raymere Burgess was born to Lisa Burgess and Willis Brooks August 27, 1985, in Columbus, Ohio In his youth, Corday attended Franklinton Elementary and South High school. At a young age, Corday was Baptized at Anchor Bishop Church on Clime Road in Columbus, Ohio. He played Pony League Football from age five to Middle School. He also played for South High school for a short while. After school, a friendship with Jamara Brown grew into love, and four children were born into that relationship. Corday worked at Pico-Pallot and selling used cars. His favorite hobbies were football and basketball games. He spent lots of time with his children, taking them to amusement parks, movies, and picnics. Corday just loved life and spending as much time as he could with family. He had a heart of gold; a giving, caring, and sharing heart. He just loved life! He was a loving father, son, brother, companion, family and friend to many. Corday departed this life early on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Oscar Burgess. Corday leaves to cherish the memories of the love he gave, Jamara Brown; sons, Corday Jr., Kai’mere, and Zy’Aire; daughter, Maliyah; mother, Lisa Burgess; father, Willis Brooks; brothers, Michael (Ashley) Burgess, and Durrell (Krista) Burgess; sisters, Antinique Hill, and Brandi Allen; grandmother, Donna Burgess; godfather, Bobby Thornhill; nieces, Anala and Eliana Burgess; nephew, Amari; uncles, Derrick, Bryant, and Michael Burgess and Rickey Brooks; aunts, Renee and Marjorie Brooks; special aunts, Deborah (McDougald) McLendon and Daylean Carroll; and a host of other relatives and friends.
