Cornelious King, age 82 of Columbus passed away at home surrounded by loving family on May 8, 2016. He was born in Rome, GA on April 10, 1934 to the late Roy and Willie Mae King. Cornelious moved to Columbus at the age of 31. He attended Dallas High School and retired from the City of Columbus Refuse Division. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. He is survived by loving daughter, Donza (Charles) Brooks; brother, Charles King; sister, Naomi Hill; 5 grandchildren; dear nephew, Tomas Heard; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Home Going Service will begin at 2 PM on Monday, May 16, 2016 in the chapel at DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long St., where family will receive friends from 1 PM until time of service.
