Curtis Donta Scales

Curtis Donta Scales was born July 15, 1956 in Welch, West Virginia. During his childhood, his family relocated to Columbus, Ohio where he graduated from East High School. After 27 years of service, Curtis retired from a career as a Case Manager with Franklin County Jobs Family Services. He enjoyed doing art work and having parties with his children and grandchildren. He was a longtime member of Union Grove Baptist Church where he married his loving wife of 37 years and participated with the Bread of Life Ministry for several years. On July 10, 2017, just a few days before his 61st birthday, Curtis was called by his King to his eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his father James Scales, mother Nina Wilson, sisters, Debbie Cayne and Anita Wilson, grandmother Anna Scales, and a host of other extended family members. Curtis is survived by his wife, Gail Scales; sons, Desia Scales and Justiss Scales; daughters, Shana Scales, Chantel Scales, and Brittany Scales; grandchildren, Demaximas Scales, Deana Briell Scales, and Jeremiah Black; and many other loving relatives and friends.
