CYNTHIA LOUISE GOLDEN, affectionately called “Boozer” by her close friends and family, transitioned into eternal life on Monday, March 28, 2022. She was fifty-eight years of age. Cynthia was born on Tuesday, June 4, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, to Gail Stewart and Ruth Stewart. Cynthia was a resident of Columbus, Ohio for fifty-five years, previously living in the Philippines Islands, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and El Paso, Texas. At the age of twenty-eight, Cynthia gave her life to Christ at Triedstone Baptist Church. However, she was a member of Lincoln Park Community Baptist Church (both in Columbus, Ohio) at the time of her transition. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Gail Otis Stewart and her brother, Gail Stewart Jr. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Robinson; daughters, Elisha and Erica Woods; son, Kemal Woods Jr.; brothers, Glen (Renee) Caldwell and Gail “Beanie” Stewart; grandchildren, Moriah Whitson, Malachi Woods, Jade Fox, Jaanaia Fox, Jaakai Fox, Jashawn Fox, and Kemal “KTeezy” Woods III; great grandchildren, Jamir Green and Marcelis Whitson; brothers, Shaun Derik and Shannon Caldwell; sisters, Tina Walker, Tia Shara, and Shana (Hugh) Frost; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, other family members, coworkers, and dear friends, who are left to cherish her memory. Cynthia attended Livingston Avenue Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High School, and graduated from Andress High School, in El Paso, Texas. Cynthia furthered her education at the Ohio School of Cosmetology; Ohio Dominican University, where she majored in Artistic Design and Art Therapy; and Columbus State Community College, where she earned her CDA (Childhood Development Associate). In addition, Cynthia was certified to be a dental assistant from the Red Cross, while in the Philippines. In her youth and early adulthood, Cynthia always had a passion for children. She had a love for watching and babysitting children of neighbors and relatives which blossomed into her being a daycare teacher later in her life. Cynthia was employed for ten years at Nisonger OSU Dental Clinic, where she assisted in providing dental care for mentally and physically handicapped patients. She most recently worked at Little Buckeye Childcare Center for nine years, until her passing. Cynthia loved anything that had to do with art or being creative. She was a selfless, giving, caring, compassionate person. However, at times, she could be head strong, stubborn, and spoiled. She enjoyed playing video games on her Wii U. She loved Harry Potter and Marvel movies, but most of all, Cynthia loved spending time with her family and loved ones. Cynthia was A TRUE WOMAN OF GOD and A STRONG WOMAN. Despite battling for decades, the chronic pain disease, Fibromyalgia, Cynthia managed to live a fulfilling life. We will miss her most infectious laugh, her bright and beautiful smile, and mostly, her “light up the room” personality. Take your rest Boozer, Mom, Ma Dukes, Maw Maw, Cynthia because you have finished your race. You have kept the faith.
