Daisy Evonne 'Aunt Bon' (Deberry) Jones

Rev. Daisy E. DeBerry Foster Russell Jones, “Aunt Bon”, age 81, sunrise August 10, 1933 in Giatto, WV, sunset February 27, 2015. A graduate of Stratton High School in Beckley, WV, and Aenon Bible College. A member of First A.M.E. Zion Church, she retired from the State of Ohio and was later employed as a driver for CDC Head Start. Preceded in death by parents, Sumler Columbus DeBerry and Daisy Banks DeBerry, brothers, Henry (Elsie), James (Bee), and Lincoln (Sis), sisters, Dora (James) Moore, Virginia Bailous, Montye (James DuDad) Wicks, and Polly (Jack) Washington, brothers-in-law, Cecil Allen and Eugene Poindexter, great granddaughter, MaKayla Hamilton, and Janice’s father, Charles Diggs. Survived by children, Janice Hamilton, Columbus “Tony” (Cynthia), and Gerald (Marsha) Jones; sisters, Edith Allen and Anita Maxine Poindexter; brother-in-law Paul Bailous; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
