Daisy Mae Poole, aka Momma and Sista, 75, born September 1, 1935 in Greenville, Alabama, passed into God's loving arms on Monday, February 6, 2012. A member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church since April 25, 1976, and a retired seamstress for Styline Draperies after 29 years of service. Preceded in death by parents Genie and Eula Cross, husband Freddie Lee Poole, and sister Katie Mae Taylor. Survived by children, Johnny (Yolondia) Poole, Fred Poole, Wanda (Bennie) Rodgers, Kenneth Poole, Bruce Poole, and Gwendolyn (Timothy) Thornton; sister Corine Crenshaw; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, an aunt, an uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Homegoing Celebration 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E. Main Street, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of service. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street.
