Daisy Mae Richardson

Daisy Mae Richardson was born on June 27, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Daisy attended Baratte Junior High School in Philadelphia. She became a mother and wife at a young age. Mrs. Richardson had several careers in her lifetime such as waitress, administrative assistant, and custodian. In the 1970’s, she traveled to Washington D.C. to Teddy Roosevelt’s campaign for office. She lived her life her way with many ups and downs, but her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. Daisy passed away on March 27, 2011. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Dairessa M. Swanson, Ronald L. Gaines, and Edward R. Gaines; grandchildren, Thomas Swanson, Lynda Washington, James Washington, Lydia Richardson, Tina Gaines, Desiree Gaines, and Marie Gaines; and 14 great-grandchildren. Daisy will be missed and never forgotten.
