Dallas Sherwood Tyree

Dallas Sherwood Tyree, Sr. affectionately known as "Sonny", was born March 2, 1936 in Beckley, West Virginia. Sonny graduated from Stratton High School in 1955. His employment background includes Rockwell/McDonald Douglas, Lazarus, Ricart and other car dealerships. Sonny loved the Lord and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church; in recent years he frequently attended St. John AME Church whom he loved. He loved cars, haggling, and traveling with his wife and friends. Dallas loved the Cleveland Browns and any team playing against Ohio State. Dallas passed away January 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Harris; father, Clarence Russell Tyree; sons, Daniel Tyree and Dallas Tyree, Jr.; brother, Clarence Leon Tyree; aunt, Ruth Allen; and step-mother, Dora Tyree. Left to cherish his memory, are his wife of 63 years, Barbara Jean Tyree; daughter, Charlowe D. Tyree; brother-in-law, Crawford (Aida) McGill, Jr. step-sister, Kathy Crockett; nephew, Clarence Michael (Tracy) Tyree;, cousin, Cynthia Allen, special friends Tony & Yani Sheets; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and some very good friends!
