Daniel Scott Lucear

Daniel Scott Lucear was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday, February 19, 1958. He was the son of Betty and William Daniel Lucear. Daniel received his formal education from Columbus City Schools. He was a 1976 graduate of Columbus East High School, where he received Academic Achievement Honor and Awards. Scott, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was a member of Linden Eagles Little League Football in 1968. At East High School, he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. Daniel loved the Lord and was a member of Clair United Methodist Church, where he faithfully served in the Food Pantry Ministry. A retiree of Nationwide Insurance, Daniel later was employed by NAPA. In his leisure, Daniel enjoyed Caribbean Cruises. Moreover, he was a Star Trek Trekkie and an avid history buff and Green Bay Packers fan. Daniel was honored and proud to be published in the 1976 edition of Who’s Who in America. Our beloved Daniel Scott Lucear entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. He was sixty-four years of age. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, William Daniel Lucear. Loving memories are cherished by his mother, Betty Lucear Houston; sister, Sue Ellyn Lucear (Kenneth) Mullins; aunt, Nancy Page; uncles, Ronald Moore, William Peyton, and Lamar Lucier; nephew, Sterling Lucear Mullins; nieces, Taylor Danielle Mullins and Sydney Alexis Mullins; great niece, Kaylin Nicole Schmidt; great nephew, Ancel Maxon Seiber; a host of other beloved family members and many dear friends. The family thanks all who visited Scott, sang a song, said a prayer, sent cards, and supplied food. We are sincerely grateful for all sympathy expressions. A special thank you is extended to Rev. Dr. Charles W. Ferguson and the Clair United Methodist Church Choir, directed by Donna Harvey, who came in person to visit Scott. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clair United Methodist Church and/or Mt. Carmel Hospital East Hospice.
