Darian Tirrell Braxton

Darian Tirrell Braxton passed away on April 23, 2019. He was born on January 30, 1974 and was raised in Columbus, Ohio. Darian was affectionately known to everyone as “Big D”. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 2001 to 2005 as an ammunition specialist. He graduated from Franklin University with a bachelors and a master’s degree from Capella University in Hospital Management. He was also a proud Mifflin Puncher, Class of 1992. Darian was a BBQ Pit Grill Master, always looking for new recipes for his infamous summer cookouts. He was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and a member of Cowboy Nation of Columbus. Every Sunday in the fall he was watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys and on Saturday it was Ohio State Football. Darian was loved by everyone he met. He had an outgoing personality, an infectious smile, an encouraging word and most of all a big heart. He touched so many lives and will be greatly missed. Darian was preceded in death by his father David Alexander, Grandmother Lucille Young, and Aunt Laurenceene McMullen. Left to cherish his memory is his mother Celeste Alexander; brothers, Ron Braxton (Adrienne) Dennis Brooks (Tami) Mike Brooks; sister, Miosha Braxton; aunt Betty Borom (Larry, deceased); nephews, Brandon, Jaylen, Jason, Tristen; niece, Hayley; cousins, Sean McMullen (Nina) Martin Borom, Milan, Maileah and Mayan. Special Friends, Daymon Baker, Ulysses Ford, Carl Hayes, Richard Harrison, Kim Rouchion. Longtime companion Shawna Coles, and the entire crew from GJ’s and many other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends at 11:00am on Friday, May 3, 2019. A celebration of Darian’s life will be held immediately following at 12:00pm at Rhema Christian Center, 2100 Agler Road, Bishop La Fayette Scales, officiating.
