David Milton Scott

David Milton Scott was born February 22, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from East High School in 1955. David was employed by Westinghouse and the Juvenile Detention Center. In 1981, David and his wife, Ida, moved to Rowland Heights, California where he was employed by the County of Orange Probation Department until he retired in 2004. While residing in Columbus, David was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and transferred his Christian membership to St. Stephens Baptist Church in La Puente, California. David departed this life on March 10, 2017, while residing in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He is preceded in death by his wife Ida M. Scott, parents, Milton Scott and Mary Edith Scott, and his siblings, Nate Scott, Betty Mahan, and Mildred Mizelle. David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his four children, David (Karen) Scott, and Steven (Pamela) Scott, both of Columbus, Lisa (Hal) Folsom of Rancho Cucamonga, California, and Nate (Jo Ellen) Scott of Bakersfield, California; sisters-in-law, Catherine (Ronald) Blake and Eddie Ruth Booker, both of Columbus; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla, and Jasmine Scott of Bakersfield, Darrell, Mariah, and David Scott of Columbus, Nichole (Howard) Bates, Markeitha Scott of Columbus, and Nicole Scott of Florida; five great grandchildren, Yasmine Scott, Xavier Bates, Howard Bates, Jr., Julius Bates, and Daniel Scott all of Columbus; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
