Davida Verna Lampkins

Mrs. Davida Verna Lampkins, age 51, passed away on September 19, 2018. Davida was born in Morgantown, WV to David and Sarah Parker. Davida married Jeffery Lampkins of Columbus, Ohio. She was known in the neighborhood as the cat lady. Davida had three inside cats Kitty, Pretty Girl and Sing Sing along with two dogs Ivy and Odie as well as a various array of neighborhood animals. Davida was my foundation she was my best friend. She gave me confidence, love, joy and happiness . My heart is broken but I know that she is in a better place, no more pain, just joy. She was preceded in death by Sarah Parker (Mother), Felicia Parker (Daughter), Elizabeth Marshall (Grandmother), and Leon Ward (Cousin). She is survived by her husband of 30 years Jeffery; their children, Mercedes Parker, Alexandria Lampkins, Miata Stotridge (Justin), Jade Lampkins; grandchildren, Sadie, Akira, Erin, Gabby, Eric III, and Daniela; father, David Parker; grandmother, Verna Eggleston; siblings, Gordon Hunter, Christopher Hunter, David Parker Jr, Kimberly Jackson, Karmen McBroom, Brandi Parker, Lena Chambers (Shawn); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Memorial Visitation will be held September 26, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Diehl-Whittaker Services for Mrs. Davida Lampkins will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Diehl-Whittaker with Elder Oyama Hall officiating. Repast will follow at Howard Community Center at 2505 N. Cassady Avenue, Columbus, OH 43219, from 3pm - 6:30pm. Davida’s favorite charity was the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
