Dawnita L. Harris-Jones

Dawnita L. Harris-Jones, affectionately known as (Nita), was born on February 11, 1954 and departed this life on June 1, 2014 at The Ohio State University Wexner Hospital. She attended Columbus Public Schools, and graduated from Linden McKinley High School. She was an avid sports fan; and enjoyed watching basketball and football. Dawnita will be missed; but not forgotten by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie Mae and Henry James Harris Sr.; son, Demont Harris Sr.; brothers, Henry James Jr. (Jimmy) and Larry Moss (Sammy); sisters, Arlene Johnson and Rochelle Harris; grandparents, Cleona and William Moss and Mary Idlette and Calvin Harris. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Alden Jones; daughters, Carmika and Adeana Jones; step-daughter, Latoya Cook; step-son, Aiden Jones; grandchildren, Demont Harris Jr., Ka'rema, De-Shawn and Nick Jr.; sister, Dorothea Harris; brother, Brian (Toria) Harris; brothers-in-law, Fred Johnson and Richard Jones, sisters-in-laws, Caroline, Olivia and Stephanie Jones; aunt, Dorothy Morrison; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates.
