Dearl was born in Columbus, OH on October 15, 1939 to the late Dearl E Alexander and Imogene Collins.

Dearl is preceded in death by, Father; Dearl E Alexander, Mother; Imogene Collins, Son; Dearl Alexander, Brothers; William Collins, Michael Brown, sister; Lucille Collins, Aunt; Mary Grace Churchill, and grandson Ricardo Alexander.

Dearl leave to cherish his memory, loving wife of (66) years, Shirley Alexander, Sister Teresa Collins; Brother Keith Collins; Uncle Charles Douglas; Children, Shanteryal (Terri) Alexander, Helen Alexander, Lavaniel Alexander. Grandchildren, Roshawn Alexander, Shanteryal S. Alexander, Michael Alexander, Shanique Alexander, Lajuana Alexander, Daurika Alexander, Cherie Bondurant, Chanelle Dawson. Brother-n-law, Richard (Ricky) Lynch, Sister-in-law Carla Lynch, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and friends.

Dearl worked at Ohio Malleable for 25 years and the City of Columbus Sanitation for 10+ years where he retired.

Dearl held a carpentry certification and was very talented with building things. He ran track with Central High School and played basketball at Everett Jr High School. Some of his hobbies included: art, cooking, baking, fishing, tailoring clothes, and rehabbing investment property. He was a jack of all trades. He loved sports which included boxing, football, basketball, and bowling. One of his favorite pastimes was watching old Western movies.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave, Columbus, Ohio, with Funeral Service immediately following. Burial will follow in procession to Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg - OH.
