Deborah Louise Capito

December 13, 1948 — January 19, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Deborah Wilson-Capito (Evans), age 63. She was born Dec 13, 1948 in Bellaire, OH to William (Solon) and Betty Wilson (Bellaire). She spent her childhood in Bridgeport and Bellaire, OH. After graduating from Bellaire High School, she went to Washington, DC taking her first job with the FBI. She returned to the tri-state area to raise her family, finally settling in Columbus, OH where she had run her own business as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children before retirement. Deborah was a keen storyteller, great at both listening and storytelling. She took great joy in conversation and loved sharing insights, experiences and debating (arguing! haha). She had a huge appetite and open heart for new experiences including food travel and loved meeting new people. She took great comfort in the beauty and serenity of the ocean; one of her greatest joys was going to the beach. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh. She had a tremendous sense of justice and loyalty and was always a champion of the underdog especially children and those less fortunate. She was a soft place for many to land in their time of need often taking many w/out a place to go into her heart and home. She was a passionate reader and lover of film and music (even though she couldn't dance a lick). She greatly enjoyed decorating her home and tending to her garden. Deborah had a heart of compassion and passionately loved her family and friends; always ready to lend a shoulder and ear to those she loved. She was predeceased by her beloved “Mom Mom”, Willard Biggs, grandparents Rolland Biggs, Marcellus and Martha Wilson and sister, Betty Wilson. Deborah is survived by her 2 children, Christopher Evans of Canada and Tamiko Evans of Gahanna, OH; Grandchildren, Jessica, Anthony, Joshua, Alisha and Elijah; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Linda, William, David, Sandra, Michael and Nicole and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Deborah requested that no memorial services be held. Please share our memories of our Deborah’s life at DeborahCapito.org Service: No Services Are To Be Held At Deborah's request, there will be no formal services observed; however, the family asks that you visit www.DeborahCapito.org to join them in celebrating her life.
