Delores Y (Foster) Henderson

Delores Y Henderson, 77, of Columbus, Ohio entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2017. Delores was the second born child to LeRoy and Elsie Foster. Delores graduated from East High School, where she participated in theatre arts. She then matriculated to Bliss College where she received her certification in Computer Mainframes. Delores was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend who always gave of herself through her love, support and kind gestures. She always opened her home and her heart to those in need. She mentored young women involved in domestic violence situations long before there was a name for it. She enjoyed participating in bowling leagues, Pokeno club and she supported her husband through various community and civic organizational endeavors.Delores worked for Big Bear Stores for 37 years and retired as a Sundry Manager in 1999. Delores was preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and Elsie Foster; son, George Mackey; husband, Otis J Henderson and a host of other relatives and friends. She is survived by her siblings James Jimmy Foster, David (Pamela) Foster, Emma Peaches Taylor, and Robert Bobby Foster; daughters, Pamela Henderson, Robyn (Kevin) Judge, Niki (Brian) Welch, Stacey L. (Howard) Tidwell and Eliane Mackey; Goddaughter/Niece, Dawn Taylor; grandchildren Tiffanie, Malcolm, Cory, Mariah, Alex, Nicholas, Sidney, Nathaniel, Adam and Geoffrey; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and several dear friends.
