Friday morning, September 12, 2014 God whispered to Denise Elaine Gooch and bided her softly to come home. Denise Elaine Gooch was born on November 6, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William E. Williams and Lillie Mae Smith. Denise received Jesus Christ as herpersonal Saviour at an early age and recommitted her life to Him in the past two years as she trusted God for her physical healing. Denise was employed by VacuForm for over 20 years as an administrative assistant and enjoyed her work very much. She was well liked by many of her co-workers. She later experienced early retirement due to the company going out of business. Denise loved fishing, working puzzles and being surrounded by family and friends. To know Denise was to love her and respect her because of her honest expression of truth. Denise had a “3 Day Philosophy” for everything. On Day 1, you are allowed to express your sorrow; On Day 2, it is time to reflect; On Day 3, accept it for what it is; but by Day 4 you must move forward. Denise is preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Mae Smith; her father, William E. Williams; 4 brothers, Robert, Ronald, Harold and Gary; 2 grandchildren, Jaleel and Imani. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, a devoted husband, caretaker and friend of 11 years, Willie Lee Gooch Jr.; 3 children, Toya (Eldon) Russell, Tyrone Russell, Jr.; Tasha Russell, 5 grandchildren, Natoia, William, Tyerawn, Brittany and Tiya; 2 great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Ny’Airah; sisters, Jean Kwarteng, Myrna (Thomas) Ruff, Linda (Glenn) Jones, Danyelle (Robert) Williams, Mary Haynes; brothers, Donald (Ramona) Webb, Paul Haynes, Richard (Connie) Haynes; stepmother, Onina Williams; special friends, Toya Dillard and Regina Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
