Deonta Lozada Walker

Deonta Lozada Walker, last resided in Las Vegas, Nevada. Deonta was born on July 30, 1986 in Columbus, Ohio and attended Oakley Full Gospel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his great- grandmother, Arrie Mae Smith; great-grandfather, James E. Smith Sr.; and great-uncle, James E. Smith Jr., of Youngstown, Ohio. Deonta is survived by his mother, Dara Mae Walker; brothers, Juan M., Denzel S., Justin M. Walker; sister, Desiree F. Lozada; grandmother, Josephine E. Smith; grandfather, Reverend Walter L. Walker; aunts, Lawanna (Eugene) Lockett, Darlene A. (William) Brown, and Brenda J. Walker. Deonta graduated from Westland High School, Class of 2005. There he was a ROTC Cadet, a member of the Show Choir, Ensemble Choir, School Choir, and National Honor Society. He was also a Varsity Cross Country track runner and student council member. Deonta was a cruise ship steward with the following cruise lines: National Geographic, Norwegian, M.V.P. Yorktown and American Queen Steam Boat Company. He was last employed by Circus Circus as a front desk manager. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at Oakley Full Gospel Baptist Church, 3415 El Paso Dr, Columbus, where the family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
