Donald B Lewis of Columbus, Ohio went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2012 after a protracted battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born May 18, 1932 in Vanceburg, Kentucky, he graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1953, served in the US Air Force, and spent 28 years with the Federal Highway Administration as a civil engineer. He was blessed to spend 31 years of retirement with his wife Marilyn, traveling extensively and enjoying simple pleasures with friends and family. He is preceded in death by his first wife Mildred, parents Nelson and Vena and stepmother Josephine. Survived by his wife Marilyn, brother Arnold “Roy” (and Loretta), children Tamra and Anthony (and Beth), stepchildren Luanna (and Russ) Tardif, Karen Gratto and Colin (and Amy) Adams, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (www.lbda.com) or to your local hospice provider.
