Donald Leroy Gwinn, “Duck”, 67, was born February 1, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio. He was received in the arms of his heavenly father Friday, January 23, 2015. As a child Duck loved basketball, he would play it anytime he had the chance. He boxed at Beatty Recreation Center, and was a Golden Gloves Champ. He was a graduate of the Columbus Public School System. A former Chef at the Ohio State University Faculty Club, he also worked at the Hyatt on Capital Square as a clerk until a disability prevented him from working. Donald was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Donald loved and cherished his brothers. He would often have cooking competitions with his brother Poochie, and enjoyed watching sports with Walt (Sqeak). In his spare time he loved to barbeque, listen to music, watch western films, and spend time with his family. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him. One of his proudest moments was watching his daughter Sherita receive her High School Diploma. Duck will be remembered for living life to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew him.
