Donna Jean Grimes

Donna Jean Grimes, 81 years of age, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 30, 2021. Donna Jean was born on March 29, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to the late John and Amelia Fields. Donna was educated in Columbus City Schools and was a proud graduate of Columbus East High. She attended several secondary schools studying Accounting and Business Management. Donna married the late Maurice Grimes on October 7, 1967 and 3 children were born from this union. Donna attended St. Philip Lutheran Church and was a member of the Circle Of Hope until her health prevented her from participating. She cherished praising the Lord as regularly reflected in a hand slap followed by an exclamation of "Thank You Jesus". Donna helped her husband establish and operate Extra Touch Janitorial Service for 45 years. Donna was also a Realtor and a Customer Service Representative for JCPenney Catalog, where she received several outstanding service awards. Donna loved spending time with her family and friends, running errands and helping others as long as she was able to make it home in time to watch "Victor" a.k.a The Young and The Restless. Donna leaves to cherish her loving memory her children John (Karen) Grimes, Beth Ann (Chad) Douglas and Paul Jason (Erica) Grimes; stepsons Dano Grimes and David Grimes; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and very dear friends.
