Donna Lee (Jackson) Kennedy

Donna Lee Kennedy was born March 3, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio and passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, July 15, 2017. She married LeRoy B. Kennedy, Sr. on March 3, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio. She traveled the world with her husband and together they had three sons (Leroy Jr., Bryon, and Kurtis). Although she completed cosmetology school early in life, Donna enjoyed sewing, crocheting and spending time with family playing scrabble, cards and board games. Donna was a rock and peaceful soul who many relied on for advice, consultation and love when life got challenging. She was always glad to lend a helping hand or word of advice to others whether they were family or just one of her many dear friends. Donna really enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who thoroughly love and will miss her. Family often gathered at Donna’s home to eat, drink, and enjoy good times. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy B. Kennedy, Sr. and her son Byron Kennedy. She is survived by her beloved sons, Leroy B. Kennedy, Jr. of Columbus, Oh and Kurtis (Latrina) Kennedy of Colonie, New York; 6 grandchildren, Summer, Shikera, Danny, Tyler, and Sydney and a host of other relatives and many, many friends. Donna will be thoroughly missed for many years to come!
