Doretha Ada Warner

Doretha Ada Warner (nee Smith) was born on August 23, 1935 in Amigo, WV, the third of three children born to the late Robert and Annie Smith (nee Choice). Doretha was raised in Amigo and Stephenson, WV. In Amigo she attended public school and completed her high school years at Conley High School. On September 4, 1954 Doretha was united in Holy Matrimony to the dapper Eddie Will “Skeets” Warner in Wyoming County, WV. Together they shared the love of their six children. Three sons: Eddie (Lavonia) Warner Jr., Rickey (Kayla) Warner, and William Warner all of Columbus, OH. Three daughters: Linda (William) Fralin, Randleman, NC, Dorothea Warner and Tina Warner both of Columbus, OH. And special grand daughter Natasha Warner, Columbus, OH. Doretha was a member of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies Church under the Pastorate of Bishop Sherman Watkins until her health prevented her attendance. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and cherished moments with extended family and friends. She leaves to cherish memories of her strength; her laughter and great since of humor her six children, eight loving grandchildren: Michael, Shereasa, Shuka, Robbie, Natasha, William, LaToya, and Lashonda. Ten great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law Bobby Warner, MD, sister-in-law’s Carol Simpson, Grayson, GA. Debra Warner, Mullin, WV. and Joyce Smith, Beckley, WV. Two aunts Sally Covington, Atlanta, GA. and Artriss Miller, Danville, VA. Very special friends Viola Abram, Beckley, WV. Jean Winfrey, Emma Wiggins, and Robin White of Columbus, OH. Many nieces, nephews, cousins’ family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Eddie Will “Skeets” Warner, of fifty-nine years, and grandson Rickey Garrison, parents Robert and Annie Smith, a sister Louise Devins, and a brother Otha Smith.
