Dorothy E Crawford

Dorothy E. Crawford, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana and currently of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016. She was born May 18, 1927 in Bluefield, West Virginia. From West Virginia she moved to Columbus, Ohio and married Robert V. Price who later passed away. After some years later, Dorothy moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where she married the love of her life, Rev. John W. Crawford. John later passed away on June 27, 1992. Both belonged to Zion Hope Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by husband, Rev. John Crawford; her parents, Mary Price and James E. Baldwin. Baptized at Trinity Baptist Church on November 7, 1965, under the direction of Pastor E.A. Parham. While in Indianapolis, Indiana Sis. Crawford was president of Nurses for 20 years, organizer of Jr. and Mascot Nurse's Youth Choir and Youth Usher's. Dorothy moved back to Columbus, OH in 1994, where she rejoined Trinity. She loved her Trinity Baptist Church Family and loved her Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Missionary’s. Most of all, she loved her pastors', Rev. Parham and Rev. Davis. Her favorite scripture was, And now abideth faith, Hope and charity. The greatest of these was charity meaning love. 1 Cor.13:13. Dorothy was founder of New Hope Charity Club in Indianapolis and she enjoyed bowling. Dorothy is survived by daughters, Betty (Floyd) Smith and Dorothea H. Crawford; honorary daughters, Linda Robinson and Chanita Pace; grandchildren, Ramona Rustin, Desean Crawford, Dominick Winfield; great-grandchildren Jordan and Gage Spivey, Kalei and Kennedi Rustin; great-great-granddaughter, Joi Spivey and Kyrstan Spivey. Homegoing Service will begin at 10 AM on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave, where family will receive friends from 9 AM until time of service. Pastor Dr. Victor M.
