Dorothy L. Birdsall

Dorothy Lee Birdsall, was born on September 7, 1920 to William and Susie Hinton. She met and married Ernest Eugene Birdsall, and from this union, two children were born. Dorothy worked at several major hospitals in the Columbus area and private duty in the Bexley Community as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 40 years. She went home to be with the Lord on November 7, 2011. Dorothy joined the ADAH Grand Chapter OES, State of Ohio, Pride of Toledo #609 and The Nurses Guild on February 27, 1984 and remained an active member. Dorothy also volunteered for Big Brothers and Big Sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Susie Hinton; her loving husband, Ernest Eugene Birdsall and a nephew, Robert McNeil. She leaves to cherish her memories, her sister, Lillian H. Owens, of Raleigh, North Carolina; daughters, Joyce A. Birdsall and Peggy J. Walker, of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Vanessa R. Birdsall-Russell, Dorsey L. Birdsall and Lashawna (Ernest) Day; seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; special niece, Vern McNeil; one very special friend who was like a sister, Georgia Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended friend.
