Dorothy Mae 'Tee' (Oden) Mcgregor

July 8, 1930 — November 14, 2011

Dorothy Mae McGregor was born in Hartselle, Alabama on July 8, 1930 to the late Arlee Oden and Zenia Mae Haynes. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Mount Pleasant C.M.E. Church. She graduated from Morgan County Training School in Hartselle, Alabama. Dorothy moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1953. Over the years, she was employed bu Weatherhead Manufacturing, Mount Sinai Hospital, Suburban Hospital, The Hopkins Family, and Cleveland Public Schools. Dorothy retired from The Cleveland Clinic, and re-entered the workforce as an employee of The McGregor House, where she retired for the second time. Upon moving to Cleveland, she joined Lane Metropolitan C.M.E. Church, where she was an avid member of the Steward Board, the W. G. Carter Missionary Society, J. C. Cole Fellowship, and The Metropolitan Matrons. She was also a Daughter of the I.B.P.O. of Elks of the World. Her hobbies included card games, traveling, and spending time with her family. Dorothy moved to Columbus, Ohio in May 2011 to be closer to her family. She was under the watchcare of Stewart Memorial C.M.E. Church. On Monday, November 14, 2011, Dorothy Mae McGregor, affectionately known also as Tee, was called Home to be with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her uncle Oscar L. Haynes. She leaves to cherish her memory, sister Lucindy Luckett; brother-in-law Howard Luckett, Sr.; nephews Howard Luckett, Jr. (Kishia) and Tyray (DaiRita) Luckett; niece Charite Luckett; four great nieces, four great nephews; uncle Clarence C. (Sara) Haynes; aunt Henimae Haynes; special cousin Mattie Pearl Phillips; lifelong friend Emma Anderson; and many other family members and friends.
