Earl Benny Eugene Wiggins was born, June 5, 1951 and left this life on earth to be with Our Lord on June 2, 2012. Benny was preceded in death by his mother, Reva M. Wiggins-Haygood and sister, Kimberly Taylor of Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from East High School and soon after graduation he enlisted in the United States Army to serve in the Vietnam War. After completing his tour of duty overseas he enrolled at Columbus State Air Conditioning. Benny’s love for working with the youth led him to accept a position as a supervisor, guiding juvenile offenders. He later continued his career out at Defense Construction Supply Center (DCSC). Benny also enjoyed his career at C.O.T.A. as a motor coach operator and union president. Benny is survived by his children, Shavon Wiggins, Tilea Clayton and his granddaughter, Makayla Cattlebge; siblings, Larry Wiggins, Deborah (Daniel) Williams, Sharon Wiggins, Lavette Wiggins, Angela Haygood-Walton (Stephen), Kevin (Ursula) Haygood, Ralph (Jacci) Haygood, Andre Haygood, Valerie (Keith) Parnell and Jerome (Shelly) Haygood. Benny also leaves a host of nephews and nieces to cherish his memory.
