Earlie Jones

Earlie Jones, son of Love C. Jones, Sr. and Beatrice Blackwell Jones, was born April 9, 1946, in Iredell County, North Carolina. He attended Iredell County Schools and was a member of New Victory Baptist Church. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by The Malibu. Earlie loved to fish, garden, and take care of his lawn. Earlie departed this life on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Johnny C. Jones, Johnny Lee Jones, Grady Lee Jones, and Calvin Jones, and two infant sisters. Earlie leaves to cherish the memories of his life, loving and devoted companion Bonnie Bryant of Columbus, Ohio; daughter Phyllis Ann Martin Smith of Mocksville,North Carolina; two brothers James M. Jones of Statesville, NC and John E. (Mattie) Jones of Baltimore, Maryland; two sisters Nettie Stokes of Troutman, NC and Janice Jones of Statesville, NC; six stepchildren, Keith (Brenda) Lott, Kenneth (Tamira) Lott; Wanda (Majid) Lott; Felicia Kamara, Tia (Eric) Lott, and Duwand (Tammy) Bryant; twenty grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, all of Columbus, Ohio; close nephew Jeff Wyche; dear friends, Leroy Green, Jay Hollis, Desmond and Hubert Douglas, all of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends.
