Earnestine Johnson was born December 23, 1946 to Earnest Conner, Jr. and Janie Lee Conner in Princeton, West Virginia. She was the oldest of fifteen children. Affectionately known to her loved ones and friends as Ernie, she was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin, and dear friend. Ernie was passionate about playing bingo and spending time with her family. She was a member of New Tabernacle Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, under the leadership of Bishop Ronald E. Davis, Sr. On Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the age of 67, and while in the care of The Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio, Earnestine Johnson passed peacefully from this life with her loving family surrounding her. She was preceded in death by her father, Earnest Conner, Jr., mother Janie Conner Burgess, grandparents, Vester and William Lee, Sr., sister Brenda Correne Conner, brother Victor Conner, uncles, William Lee, Jr. and Henry Lee, aunt Louise Lee Robinson, and cousin Fannie Elizabeth Wheeler. Those who remain to cherish many wonderful memories of Ernie include her four beloved sons, Marvin (Dawn) Conner, Thomas Conner, Lamar (Tomika) Conner, all of Columbus, Ohio, and Maurice (Teresa) Conner of Okinawa, Japan (U.S. Army); fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Sheila Conner, Deborah Conner, Denise Foster, Victoria Conner, Marcella Conner, Penelope Conner, Crystal, Glendora, and Erma Conner; brothers, Robert Conner, Donald Conner, and Ernest Conner; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
