Eddie Lewis White

Eddie L. White, also affectionately known as BoyJack by family and friends, age 84, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born on October 13, 1930 in Pitt County, Greenville, NC to the late James T. and Luella (Dixon) White. Eddie proudly served in the U.S. Army and U.S Air Force. He graduated from Franklin University, and retired from Newark Air Station, Newark OH. Following retirement he founded Zeno's Activewear and was an avid gardener. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Columbus, Ohio. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Rosemary (Hart) White; brothers, James, Letha, Velton, Zeno, and Karl White; sisters, Maebelle Morris and Bernice Green. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Wanda (Freeman) White; sister, Lula (Richard) White; children, Denise, Robert (Debby), David (Toya), Stephen (Tammy) and Anne; stepchildren, Kathy (Chris), Keith, and Kim (Bruce); grandchildren, Donovan, Robert, Seth, Elijah, Hannah, Sarah, Lauryn, Camren, Courtnee; step-grandchildren, Kevin, Irisha, Kyle, Clifton, Chad, Damita, Brock, Janelle, Danielle; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mount Carmel East Health Palliative/Hospice Care Unit, where he and the family received compassionate care and support.
