Eddie Ruth Booker

June 17, 1940 — February 20, 2018

Eddie Ruth Booker, Affectionally known as "Pettie", was born on June 17, 1940 to the union of Leroy E. Jackson and Lillian R. Jackson in Atlanta Georgia. She moved to Columbus, Ohio with her family while still young. In her leisure, she enjoyed singing, dancing and loved music. She loved helping others and welcomed all to her home as family. Pettie was employed for a short time at Ranco Control in Plain City Ohio. Pettie met and married the love of her life, James A. Booker, Jr. To this union was born five sons and two daughters. Preceded in death by her parents Leroy E. and Lillian R. Jackson, husband James A. Booker, Jr., her sister, Mary Ann Green, and brother Leroy E. Jackson. Pettie departed this life on February 20, 2018 and leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Allen, Curtis, Terry, Tyrone, Anthony, Selena and Hilda all of Columbus, sisters, Gwendolyn Lane of California, Sonja Craig of Cleveland OH, Karen Winfrey, Mildred Jackson and Lydia Jackson of Columbus OH; ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephew; and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
