Edith Pearl Patterson

Edith P. Patterson, born December 28, 1927, to the late Robert Hugh and Mamie Houston Nelson, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 14, 2012. She was a retired office clerk from Ashland Oil, check processor for former Ohio Treasurer Kenneth Blackwell, and long standing member of Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church and Travelers Rest Baptist Church before her infirmities. She was predeceased by six sisters, Darnella Hamiter, Harriet Austin, Marie Points, Mae Stillwell, and Channie Johnson grandchildren, Tiffany Smith Snow, Tyrun Hill, and Tabari Patterson; and great-grandson, Tremaine Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 65 years, John H. Patterson; daughters, Janet Smith, Annetta (Ali) Jinna, Donnetta Patterson Hill, Cookie (Richard) Biles, Cheryl Patterson, and Renee (Robert) Wilson; sister, Norieka Froe; 10 grandchildren, Tashawn Smith, Tiama Patterson, Troy Patterson, Whitney Allen, Rasheedah Biles, Terikia Patterson, Turquoise Patterson, Robert Wilson (RJ), Tyhnese Patterson, and Terell Patterson 32 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
