Edward Christian Moore

September 2, 1965 — April 14, 2015

After a long and difficult battle with cancer, Edward Christian Moore left his friends and family on April 14, 2015. Edward was born September 2, 1965 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a proud graduate of Shaw High School, receiving the Martin Luther King, Jr. Award his senior year. He was a student and Resident Assistant at The Ohio State State University, where he was active in the theater community and an accomplished playwright and director. Ed got the opportunity to go to Los Angeles for an internship with Entertainment Tonight, and that was the beginning of a long career in the entertainment industry. During Ed’s time in Los Angeles, he worked as a Production Assistant on various movie, television and music video projects for Twentieth Century Fox, Dark Light Pictures, and various other entertainment agencies. He was an Assistant to an Agent at the William Morris Agency, and a freelance copywriter and director for several movie and television commercials. In 2007, during the writer’s strike in Los Angeles, Ed accepted a job offer at Amazon.com, and moved to Seattle, Washington. He was a Site Editor for the Toys and Games blog, creating web pages for some of the biggest names in the toy industry. In 2011, he joined Microsoft.com and was a Project Manager, contributing to a 200% sales growth during the holiday season. Edward Christian Moore believed in the power of positivity and was thankful and grateful for everything and everyone in his life. Everyone who knew Ed said he was kind and generous and always willing to help whenever he could. He was well-spoken and confident, always knowing the right thing to do and say in every situation. Anyone who had the opportunity to work with Ed found that he was very patient, helpful and a lot of fun to work with. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met, with his great sense of humor and razor-sharp wit. He had a big smile that lit up the room and a big heart to match. Ed was an avid photographer and videographer, capturing his adventures on film. He loved music, often introducing others to new groups and artists to broaden their horizons. Movies were also something Ed enjoyed, and he often attended the Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals. Ed traveled all over the world, spending his birthday in Europe, visiting Nigeria, and several places in the United States, including Hawaii. Most recently, he visited St. Maarten. Ed was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vivian and Lloyd Noles, and Charles and Etrabel Moore, uncles, John and William Noles, and aunts, Marilyn King and Virginia Moore. He is survived by his parents, Janet and Phillip Moore; sister, Andrea (Spencer) Carter; niece, Ayanna Carter; nephew, Spence Carter; uncles, Lloyd (Barbara) Noles, Charles (Bernice) Moore, and Elbert King; aunts, Marcia Means, Linda Patton, Deen Chen, Ruth Noles, and Vivian Hill; the Wiley Family, the Jackson Family, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
