Edward Douglass Sr

Edward M. Douglass, Sr., Big Ed, age 76, born January 20, 1938 in Society Hill, SC, passed away March 6, 2014. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he obtained an Associate Degree from Columbus State Community College, and retired from General Motors where he was employed as a 1st Class Steam Engineer. Big Ed was the owner of Douglass Son Trucking, Douglass Pest Control, and Jeff's Place. He had been the National Vice President of Flames MCC Club, and was an honorary member of Eagles MC Club. Predeceased by parents, Allen and Millie Douglass, brothers, Willie (Beatrice), James (Beulah), and Andrew (Maggie) Douglass, sisters, Mildred Douglass Green, and Louvenia Douglass Wearing. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 51 years, Jaleen; sons, Edwards Jr. and Jeffery Sr. (Alisha); grandson, Jeffery Jr.; brothers, Allen (Catherine) Douglass and Ernest (Bessie) Douglass; brother-in-law, Al (Donnette) Uddin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
