Elenora Yvonne Burke

Evangelist Elenora Yvonne Burke was called Home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2010. Elenora was born on January 14, 1929 in Barboursville, WV. She attended public elementary and high schools in Huntington, WV. She was employed by Ohio Bell Telephone Co. after moving to Columbus. She was a faithful member of The Church of Christ of The Apostolic Faith, where she served on several Auxiliary Boards. Preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Burke Jr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Keller Washington; sisters, Nellie Evans and Mary Emma Smith; brothers, Harry B., Howard and Keller Washington Jr. She leaves a sister, Thelma McCombs of Detroit, Michigan; sister-in-law Jean Jones of Columbus; step sons, Ronald Burke and Alphonso C. Burke; nieces, Brenda Owens and Saundra Henning; nephews, Nathaniel Smith, Michael Smith, John Evans, Howard Washington and Michael Washington. Elenora will be sadly missed by family and friends.
