Elizabeth “Betty” A. Harris, fondly called “Luvee”, age 78, went home to be with the Lord January 31, 2014 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. She retired from DCSC/DISA in 1990 after 34 years of service. Luvee was preceded in death by grandparents, Dell and Annie Luckadoo; parents, William and Gladys Brown and granddaughter Shaunay Taylor. She is survived by daughters, Carolyn, Vicki and Traci Harris; grandchildren, Victor and Robert Harris, Kenya Cortledge; great-grandchildren, Champagne Moss and Camryn Nellon; brothers, William (Mariko) Harris, Robert (Katherine) Brown all of Columbus OH and Eugene (Katherine) Brown of Salem OR; dear friend and former husband Clifford Harris; and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Prior to Betty’s illness she was an outstanding bowler and pianist and a member of New Journey Christian Ministries where she sang in the choir, dance/mime and pianist.
