Elizabeth (Fields) Reeder

Elizabeth (Fields) Reeder, age 92, went home to the Lord Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Born in Cincinnati, OH May 19, 1920 to the late Robert and Selena Phillips, she came to Columbus at the age of 7 years, and was raised her Uncle Webb and Aunt Adell Phillips. She was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church, under the leadership of Paster Marcus L. Martin, where she was a member of the Senior Choir. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Reeder, brother, Thomas Lee Phillips; sister-in-law, Marilyn Phillips; daughter, Marva Ann; great-grandsons, Kevin K.L., Jr., and Rashad Sutton. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Weldon E. (Brenda) Fields, Sr. and Vernon Tubby (Regina) Fields, Jr.; cousin (who was more like her sister), Louise Gardner; grandchildren, Kenny, Kevin, and Kirk Sutton; LaWana Odom, Carla Finch, Tiffany Fields-Solomen, Luereathr Ross, Vernon Lil Tubb Dumas, Weldon Eugene Fields, Jr.; Anita K. Gilliespie, Sandra M. Gillespie, Staff Sergeant Harvey Gillespie, Jr.; 27 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves dear friends, Frances Cabiness, Joan Reeds, Emma Sessions, Barbara Carpenter, Barbara R. Neal, Willa Mae Sweetie Rhodes, Barbara Smith, and one exceptional friend, Mrs. Lucille Duncan.
