Elizabeth Gordon Brue

Elizabeth Gordon Brue, age 88, went home to the Lord Saturday, May 20, 2017 peacefully at her residence. Born December 20, 1928 in Lancaster, KY, she was predeceased by her mother, Clara M. Hairston; father, George Burton, Sr.; sister, Nora Bivens; brothers, George Burton, Jr. and Jack Burton ; and nephew, Stanley McElroy. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Stanley J. Brue; son, Stan Brue (Connie); daughter, Laura Brue; sister, Maggie Adams (Larry); brother, William “Bill” Ray (Lil); sister-in-law, Rosemary Reese (Herman); brother-in-law, Herman Bivens; nephews, Vincent McElroy (Tonia), Vernon McElroy (Georgette), Virgil McElroy (Wylena), Guy Adams (Erika); Rene Reese, and George “Louie” Burton, III; nieces, Brenda Burton, Shirley Lyles (Vincent), Lileta Burton, Renita Reese, and Kim Ray; granddaughters, Sabrina Brue (Rachel), and Kellie Brue; step-grandson, Aaron Casey; great-granddaughter, Rachel Brue; and many other relatives and friends.
