Elwado Ector

ELWADO PEPPIE ECTOR was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, June 23, 1960. He was the first-born son of Roy W. Ector and Freddine A. Ector. Elwado, affectionately known as Peppie, was the eldest of seven children. Although Elwado did not have children of his own, he had a host of nieces and nephews who loved and adored him.

Elwado received his formal education from Columbus City Schools.

Blessed with sixty-three years of life, Peppie was called home on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Grant Hospital, after a long battle with chronic illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy W. Ector; mother, Freddine A. Ector; brother, Paul W. Ector; and nephew, Marvin F. Ector.

Loving memories are cherished by his siblings, Eurlando S. Ector, Monett M. (Justus) Ector-Thigpen, Kier (James) Ector-Smith, Toyia A. Ector, David B. (Erica) Ector, and Sylvia L. Toles; best friends, Mark Hunter, Bobby Hunter, Cortez Thorpe, Pete Barnes, Ira Littlejohn, and David Johnson; many other family members and dear friends.
