Eorail Mayo, born November 14, 1925 in Dora, Alabama, departed this life on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio. Her family and Church Family was her world. She enjoyed and supported her grandchildren in their endeavors. She was passionate about serving others. A master cook for Wesley Glenn for almost 30 years. Because of her excellent culinary skills she willingly taught many others. Mother Mayo always had a sense of humor like none other. She was a charter member of Reeb-Hosack Community Baptist Church. She had been a faithful member of the Senior Choir and served on the Missionary board. Preceded in death by parents Will and Candis Harris; sisters, Laconia Harris Barnes, Willie Belle Preston, Julia Harris, and Ivoria Harris Jones; great-granddaughter, Zariah Lanna Mayo. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Harriet Mayo Calmese; granddaughters, April Mayo, Sidra Calmese and Chalene Mayo; great-grandchildren, Lemuel Mayo, David Mayo, Micah Mayo, Joshua Mayes, Michaela Mayo, and Arianna Mayo; brothers, Melvin Harris of Adamasville, Alabama, Richard Harris of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Fannie Harris of Chicago, Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2011, Reeb-Hosack Community Baptist Church, 258 Hosack Street, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until start of service. Dr. John Little Officiating. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
