Ernestine Menefield

Ernestine Lucille (Carter) Menefield was born May 5,1934 to Lewis and Pauline (Lee) Carter in Columbus, Ohio.

She graduated from East High School, attended Franklin University, Columbus State Community College where she was inducted into The Phi Theta Kappa Society, She attended The Ohio State University.

Ernestine was united in marriage to Paul Menefield on September 24, 1954. To this union was born two sons and one daughter.

God’s Word was planted in her heart and she was baptized in HIS NAME and received HIS SPIRIT.

She was active in the church through Bible studies, a Sunday School teacher, Bereavement Ministry, Pastoral Care Ministry, Volunteer Caregivers, Retired Senior Volunteer Persons Association, Volunteer Chaplain at The Ohio State University hospital, Impact Ministry and Experienced People In Christ Ministry.

Ernestine was employed by Franklin County Department of Human Services as a Human Services Eligibility Determiner also as an Adult Protective Services Social Worker until she retired.

GOD called her from labor to eternal rest on Saturday, August 5, 2023

She was preceded in death by her parents and three infant brothers also three sisters - Mildred, Eva and Barbara.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children Paul Steven Menefield, Kevin Scott (Yvonne) Menefield, Marissa Sue (John W.) Stevenson, grandchildren and great- grandchildren along with her siblings John, Robert, David (Geraldine), Raymond (Winnie), Karen and Paul (Flora) Carter, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including the Body of Christ from The BibleWay Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Rhema Christian Center, and Heirs Covenant Church.
