Esther Jane Crockett

Esther Jane Crockett, affectionately known as “Janey” by the family and her close friends, was born June 27, 1963 in Columbus Ohio, the fourth and youngest child of the late Albert Crockett and Betty Carter Crockett. She was a delightful child, always with a big smile, and with so much personality. She was a graduate of the Columbus Public School System, and after graduation, she studied to be a Dental Hygienist. She was Baptized at an early age in the Church of God and Saints of Christ, Columbus, Ohio - where she began her spiritual training. She was one of many of her cousins, coming to Church altogether with their grandmother, Sister Elder Leona Crockett. She sang in the junior Choir. Janey also served as Youth Sister Elder. She joined Rejuvenate Church in February of 2016 under the leadership of Pastors Dearin and Denesha Crockett. She was a faithful and committed member, she served as head of the Hospitality department and she worked diligently with the Outreach Ministry. She never missed a service, a bible study, or a prayer meeting. She was always in position and ready to serve. Janey was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, her brothers, Albert and Eric Crockett, and her beloved nephews William and Pastor Dearin Crockett. She is survived by her sister, Anamaria Crockett and a host of nephews, nieces, friends, family, godchildren, and all who cherished and loved her. Her bright spirit and beautiful smile will be missed.
