Eunice Elizabeth Stevens, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Nelsonville, Ohio and later relocated to Columbus, where she spent the remaining days of her life raising her family. Sister Stevens retired from Schottensteins North, on Westerville Road, and was a longtime, faithful member of the Genessee Avenue Church of Christ for many years. Her favorite songs were, A Mansion, Robe and Crown and On The Wings of an Eagle. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband David N. Stevens, daughter Zenith Long, son-in-law Daniel Long, son James William Tanner, and parents Joseph and Mamie Brown. She is survived by her loving children: son Robert W. (Chris) Stevens; daughters Sharon Ferguson and Carmen L. Griffin; daughter-in-law Janice Tanner; sister-in-law Helen (Ken) Ramson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Alfonso Coleman, Oliver (Jackie) Black, Mark (Annette) Moxley, The Coleman Family, Walter Gwinn, Jr., Brother Deric (Fredena) Williams, Brother Sister Madison, Doris Clark, and Ron (Alice) Hill; foster daughter Barbara Patrick, and a dear, close friend Mr. James Harris, Sr. Celebration of Life 11 a.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Genessee Avenue Church of Christ, 1889 Genessee Ave., where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of service. Entombment Green Lawn Cemetery.
