Fatima Kinshasa Carter was born September 21, 1978 to D. Faye Mason Winbush and Richard M. Winbush in Columbus, Ohio. During her school years, Fatima attended Sonshine Christian Academy, Southmoor Middle School and graduated from Independence High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University, where she majored in Journalism and Public Relations. In the Spring of 1999, while attending OSU, Fatima was initiated into Theta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Upon graduating, she transferred her membership to Alpha Sigma Omega Chapter and later became a Charter Member of Psi Eta Omega Chapter. She was an employee of Abbott Nutrition for over ten years. Fatima enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends. She was a loving aunt and devoted godmother to her three godsons, Jaylen Morton-Bing, Carlos Bing, Jr., and Jaxson Hutchings. On May 18, 2012, Fatima was called to her eternal rest at the age of 33. She was predeceased by her grandmother Dollie Mason, grandfathers, Daniel Mason, William Parrott, Sr., and DeMoris Winbush, aunts VenArtha Graham and Donna Mason Jones, and uncles, Adam Parrott, Ralph Williams, and Randall Parrott. Those who remain to cherish memories of Fatima include her loving husband LaShaun K. Carter; mother Faye Mason Winbush; father Richard M. Winbush; stepdaughter Chyna Carter; brothers Jamaal Anwar Winbush and Ernest Carter, Jr.; sisters Tina Carter and LaVona Carter; grandmother Venzella Winbush; mother-in-law Nadine Carter-Martin; father-in-law Ernest L. Carter, Sr.; special friends LeShel Hutchings and Kristin Moreland; as well as a host of dear family members and friends. Celebration of Life 12 noon, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 Sunbury Road, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the start of service. (AKA Ceremony will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m.) Rev.
