Florence Johnson was born to the union of Frank and Zennia Davidson in Anniston, Alabama in 1942. She graduated from East Depot High School in 1963. She relocated to Columbus, Ohio as a young adult to live with her maternal aunt Lucille Brady. Florence met the love of her life George Johnson Jr., at a prayer meeting and after a short courtship; they married in Columbus Ohio on May 15, 1965. To this union, three children were born. Florence received Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a Billy Graham crusade in 1963 in Columbus, Ohio. Florence served under the leadership of Rev. Homer Arnold; founder and pastor of Consolidated Missionary Baptist Church. Florence was an active member and served in several choirs, she was the president of the usher board for approximately twenty years, and she planned multiple bus trip and cruises. Florence was employed with Grant Hospital, The United Way and the City of Columbus where she retired after twenty-five years of service as a Home Health Aid. At the age of 76, Florence was called from earthly labor to heavenly reward on April 22, 2019. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, George Johnson III, husband of 52 years George Johnson, brothers Willie Frank Davidson and Clarence Davidson. Memories will forever be cherished by Her son Reginald (Tracy) Johnson Virginia, son Rodney L. Johnson Virginia, grandson Brandon A. Johnson Ohio, granddaughter Ciara (Perry) Alter California, sister Diane (Jesse) Buchannan Alabama, brother John Earl Davidson , best friend Helen Johnson, Goddaughters (Lakesha and Lanesha Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, many cousins, and other relatives and friends.
