Frances H. Thompson, age 96, entered eternal life on December 30, 2014. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. Born January 26, 1918 in Washington, KY, she received her education in Maysville, KY. She was a member of Hamilton A.O.H. Church of God, of which she served as Secretary from 1969 to 1996, and a retiree of Mercy Hospital, where she was employed for 28 years. In 1972, she was chosen as a Mercy Rose, an honor bestowed to outstanding employees in their department. In 2002, she moved to Columbus, Ohio to reside with her son, Rev. Arnold L. Randolph, Jr., and united with Good Samaritan Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and quilting. Preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Samuel D. Thompson, infant son, Scottie, son James E. Randolph, daughter Norma J. Hambric, parents, David and Jennie Whaley, 2 sisters, and one brother, Robert Whaley. Survived by son, Rev. Arnold L. Randolph, Jr.; daughters, Mary E. Jackson and Marjorie Williams; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
