Frances Jean 'Boots' (Smith) Jefferson

Frances J. Jefferson, “Boots”, age 77, born October 16, 1938 in Columbus, OH, passed away May 9, 2016 at Grant Medical Center. She graduated from Central High School and received an Associate degree in Business Administration from Franklin University. A former employee of Western Electric and retiree of Kal-Kan Dog Food, she was a member of New Birth Christian Ministries where she enjoyed serving on the Usher Ministry and singing with the Senior Choir. Preceded in death by parents, Ruth A. Smith and Pete Johnson, son William “Timmy” Jefferson, sisters, Ruth “Tini” Cox, June “Candy” Cox, and Paula Cox; and aunts Nany Baker and Ruby Allen. Survived by husband Ronald Hill; daughter Tiffany (James) Crockett; sons, Rodney (Toni) Smith, Charles Smith, John Brazell, Bart (Sherron) Jefferson, Darrel Jefferson, and Desmond Jefferson; sister Ann Harris; brothers, Richard Cox, Jack (Lisa) Cox, Tyrone (Donna) Cox, and Fred “Skip” Cox; daughter-in-law Gail Brazell; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
