Frances 'Ms. Peaches' 'Auntie Nay Nay' (Alexander) Henderson

Frances Alexander Henderson was born June 11, 1953 to Nathaniel Alexander and Helen Truit Alexander in Columbus, Ohio. She was known more affectionately as Aunty Nay Nay or Ms. Peaches by her loved ones and dear friends. A graduate of East High School, she was a member of New Birth Christian Ministries and retired from a career with the Ohio Department of Public Safety. Additionally, Frances was an active, lifetime member and held various offices in several unions, most notably OCSEA District 6, AFLCIO, AFSCME, and CBTU. Frances was always the life of the party and was everyone's go to for just about anything. She participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, had a fondness for fashion and photography, and enjoyed organizing special events, and traveling around the country. On Thursday, June 29, 2017, Frances departed her earthly life while at her residence. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Thomas “Tee” (Leanna) Henderson and Caprece Prece (Shakim Sr.) Ashby; stepchildren, Becky Gilchrist and Thomas “Tee Jay” Henderson; brothers, Larry (Betty) Taylor and Willie (Faith) Alexander; sister Jackelon Jackie Roebuck; 14 grandchildren, Courtney, Chyna, Jayvon, Camery, Thomas, Tyquan, Rayona, Thomas Jr., Shakim Jr., Caleb, Valentino, Jewel, and TomiJai; nieces and nephews, Tonya, Tiffany, Herbie, Maya, Erice, Nate, Candace, Herbert, Malcolm, and Neffy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
