Frank Harris

Mr. Frank R. Harris, 80, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

He was born on Thursday, July 22nd, 1943, in Columbus, OH to the late Bishop Jack R. Harris and Bishop Elizabeth Harris.

Frank is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Saundra S. Harris; children, Marvin R. Harris, Jacqueline (Scott) Harris Jackson, Christina (Magnus) Harris Duruji; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and other family and friends. Frank is preceded in death by his parents and brother Rolly R. Harris.

Frank attended Mt. Calvary Holiness Church and Union Grove. He played the piano, organ and enjoyed singing at home. He worked with his father, Bishop Jack Harris, building homes and churches. His father helped build the LeVeque Tower.

Frank attended Pilgrim Elementary School, Champion Junior High School and graduated from East High School. He furthered his education at The Ohio State University, majoring in Architectural Engineering. Frank worked for the State of Ohio at TICO and retired with over 50 years of service. He enjoyed working with the children and they loved him so much.

In his free time, Frank enjoyed bowling, hunting, camping and fisher. He was a member of the Yacht Club.

Family will receive friends for visitation at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave, Columbus, OH, 43203, on Friday, March 29th, 2024 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 29th, 2024 until 1:00 pm followed immediately by his interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
