Frankie Lee Lovelace, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on July 11, 1934, in Statesboro, Georgia, Frankie grew up in Alpharetta, and attended school in Roswell. His early years shaped his character, instilling the values of hard work and perseverance that would guide him throughout his life.

In the early 1960s, seeking new opportunities, Frankie moved to Ohio, where he embraced a variety of jobs that showcased his versatility. From working as a farmer to a mechanic, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to each role. Ultimately, he retired from Wayne Builder as an appliance delivery driver, leaving behind a legacy of reliability and commitment to service.

Frankie's warmth and kindness were evident to all who knew him. He was cherished by his family and friends, and he leaves behind a devoted wife, Ruby Lovelace; children, Nora Harris, Karen Sanjing, Stacy Thompson, Latrelle Thompson, Terrence Hill, Frankie White, Lisa Lovelace, and Larry Lovelace, along with 18 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren who will carry forth his spirit.

Frankie is also survived by his siblings: sisters, Elizabeth Wynn, Louenne (Calvin) Dunson; brothers, Emmitt Lovelace, and Larry Joe (Betty) Lovelace. He held close relationships with his brothers-in-law, Ralph A. Allen, James Allen, Carl Allen, and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Henley, Edna Allen, and Billy Lovelace. His 45 nieces and nephews, special nieces, Laseanda James, Tasha King, Brenda Thomas, and Monika Allen enriched his life, as did his godson, Demitri Garland.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Willie Lovelace and Mattie L. Wynn; his wives, Shirley Ann and Peggy Lovelace; his children, Margaret Seldon, Louise Johnson, Tony Lovelace, as well as five brothers and two sisters. Each of these souls touched his life deeply and will be remembered in the hearts of those who mourn him.

Frankie’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he influenced in both his personal and professional endeavors. He will be remembered not just for his years but for the love he shared, the lessons he imparted, and the warmth he brought to every conversation.

A visitation will be held on March 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service located at 1370 East Main Street, Columbus, Ohio. Following the service, Frankie will be laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
